In-State Interest: Buffalo RB Qadree Ollison Looking Hard at Syracuse

Syracuse has offered Qadree Ollison from Buffalo, and the running back has high interest in suiting up for the Orange as well. He’s a Canisius High School Class of ’14, and also has high interest in Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, and Wisconsin.

He has received offers from all schools. He also has interest in Boston College, Buffalo, Cincinnati, UConn, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Nebraska, Nevada, Ohio State, Temple and West Virginia. All schools have made offers, except for Nebraska, Ohio State and West Virginia, according to Rivals.

He also has interest in Michigan and Notre Dame, but neither school has made an offer to the 6’1” 225 lb. running back.

Ollison is a three-star recruit according to ESPN‚Äôs Recruiting Nation. Ollison is a tough nosed running back who doesn’t look for the sidelines. He’s not afraid to run up the middle and through the defenders. He has quick feet and a great first step. He’s tough to bring down for defenders who go low. When he breaks into the open field he has terrific open field speed.

He is the fifth ranked running back in New York, according to Rivals.  Last season he had an eye-popping 26 rushing touchdowns and ran for 1,865 yards at Canisius High.

Syracuse already has a commitment from Naesean Howard of West Genessee High School in Camillus but is always looking for more depth in the backfield. The offensive weapons Syracuse is stacking is impressive. Howard, quarterback A.J. Long, and an outside target in KJ Williams, the wide receiver from Bethlehem, Pa, are all committed (although Williams is a soft verbal). Could Ollison be the second running back to commit from the Class of 2014? Ollison could be another huge addition to that crew.
