Almost a dozen official visits are scheduled for the Syracuse football team before National Signing Day. That’s a lot–but some visits are more important than others. The Fizz goes through some of the most important prospective recruits and gives the probability of each player committing to the Orange.

  • Adly Enoicy ‚Äì The 3-star wide receiver¬†hails from the same high school¬†as Brisly Estime. Enoicy has offers from top programs such as Florida State, South Carolina, USC, Auburn, Miami and Florida. However, Enoicy has shown tremendous interest in the Orange and could either play wide receiver or tight end when he enrolls. One major positive SU has is how Estime was used this season. Scott Shafer gave Estime a ton of playing time as a true freshman, showing Enoicy that Shafer is true to his word when it comes to early playing time. Estime‚Äôs relationship with Enoicy could be key to lock up the Sunshine State product. Probability: 70%
  • Denzel Ward ‚Äì The former Michigan and Purdue pledge has not had a smooth recruiting process. Michigan coaches got tired that Ward was looking at schools like Ohio State and Florida when he was committed to the Wolverines. The 3-star OL recruit then committed to the Boilermakers but had apparent interest in Oklahoma. Regardless, it is safe to say that nobody knows where Ward will end up going until he puts his signature down on paper. Ward is huge at 6‚Äô9‚Äù, 320 lbs. He would add tremendous size to the offensive line and could be a steal for the Orange. Ward has Syracuse, Oklahoma, Nebraska, UCLA and USF on his list. Probability: 60%
  • Steve Ishmael ‚Äì Ishmael has been the¬†most talked about¬†uncommitted recruit for the Orange. ¬†The 6‚Äô2‚Äù receiver from Miami has said several times, and as recently has last month that SU is his top choice. As expected, George McDonald has played a large part in his recruiting process. If he were to commit, Syracuse would add to an already strong group of incoming receivers in¬†KJ Williams, Corey Cooper and Jamal Custis. Probability: 80%
  • Zeek Rodney ‚Äì DL Isaiah ‚ÄúZeek‚Äù Rodney garnered interest from the Orange throughout December. His top schools are Syracuse, Wake Forest, Boston College, Marshall and Charlotte. Naturally, DL coach Tim Daoust has been all over the 260-pounder who did not know much about the Orange until they moved to the ACC. He was also told he could train with Dwight Freeney, who is in Syracuse for offseason conditioning. Rodney could be a great example of how alumni and the move to the ACC are deciding factors for recruits to come play on the Hill. Probability: 40%
  • DaiQuan Lawrence ‚Äì The 2-star CB narrowed down his list to Syracuse, Virginia, Wake Forest and East Carolina. Lawrence is a previous Wake Forest commit who decommitted after Jim Grobe‚Äôs resignation from the Deacon Demons. Lawrence has an impressive 40-time of 4.4 that could give the Orange secondary a boost in speed against ACC receivers. The Virginia native was heavily impressed by the official visit he took in December to in-state Virginia. The Orange now know where the bar is set but they do have the advantage of being the last school Lawrence sees. He will visit SU on the 31st. Probability: 45%
  • Derrick Tindal ‚Äì The Florida product picked up an offer from the Orange in October and has offers from South Carolina, Pittsburgh, Indiana, Marshall and Georgia Tech. At 5‚Äô11‚Äù, Tindal is at a slight disadvantage with his height but makes up for it with a 4.54 40-time. He also played wide receiver in high school but will probably stay in the secondary in college. Probability: 35%

Some familiar names will also be visiting later this month. Committed recruits Alin Edouard, Lamar Dawson and Rodney Williams will visit before NSD. This will be a crucial stretch for the Orange to lock up last-minute talent before the “Christmas Day of recruiting.”
