What NFL Teams Should Draft Cam Skattebo?

After an epic season at Arizona State and an iconic Peach Bowl performance despite the loss

the question becomes, is Cam Scadaboo going to get drafted into the NFL in April

My answer is, he better. Let's break it down before we do so

watch DA live. All right, on to Cam Scadaboo's performance in college

I mean, man, this guy absolutely did everything for the Sun Devils

He set school records all over the place at ASU for rushing yards and touchdowns

and all-purpose yards, etc. He was just to do-everything guy for the Sun Devils all season long

in a route to a Big 12 championship in a season where very, very, very

little was expected out of ASU. So first of all, this campaign that he just had proved that at this level, he can be

a game breaker, a game changer, and a top five Heisman finalists

So he definitely finishes his career at Arizona State with a tremendous flourish at the end

Also, from where we stand and where he began, this is just an incredible story

Sacramento State, the guy had no FBS Division I. offers. None. Zero star prospect. Zero. Think about how many stars. The stars of college football

usually have next of their name. Four star kids. Five star kids. Coming from all types of high school

powerhouses, setting all types of state records. But Camp Scadaboo had no offers anywhere

So he goes to Sack State and then transfers to Arizona State. And the rest is obviously Sun Devil history

Texas had come into the game as a 13 and a half point favorite

Saskatoos' final performance of this season leaves everybody mouth agape and winner of the MVP trophy for the Peach Bowl

Very deserving and a losing effort because of everything that he contributed

Now when you look at his next step he projected to be maybe a middle round pick In fact before some of these late season performances and some attention from the media

some thought that he would be an undrafted rookie free agent. But now we're starting to see some other prognostications pit him as a third round back

maybe a fourth round pick in April's draft. Here's what I would say

Yes, his measurables aren't going to blow you out of. the building. 511, 215.15. His 40-yard time is probably going to be 4-7, something like that

He's not going to wow you with explosiveness or with straight line speed. But what he lacks in

that type of football measurable, he makes up for in so many other things

The number one, versatility, if you are able to not only run the football effectively between the

tackles, but also catch the football effectively out of the backfield. Every offense in today's

NFL needs to have that threat of the running back out of the back field to catch passes

because it's such a pass heavy game. On top of that, look at what 2024 has done to the running

back. Josh Jacob leading the way in Green Bay. Derek Henry as the perfect compliment to Lamar

Jackson in Baltimore. And obviously, the potential MVP of the a guy that just went over 2,000 yards

And had he played in week 18, might be the all-time single-season rushing leader

Sequin Barclay, was everything and more of the Philadelphia Eagle. So we saw a resurgence in the value of the running back

To me, you look at Scataboo and say, all right, if he can help me run on the ground

especially in goal line situations, tough yardage situations because it is bruising back ability

Plus, I could have him catch passes out of the backfield, and I know that his desire is off the charts

There is a spot for him on my roster, no doubt about it. I'd be looking at this from a vantage point of an NFL team that might have a first downback

a finesse or speed back, and complement that with Scadaville. The desire the competitiveness the compete level is off the charts for this guy He been counted out forever And yeah for some people I think maybe that can be grating I think people can be a little annoyed by how much he feels he needs to prove to everybody

that, hey, I've been overlooked. Hey, I'm better than you think. Hey, I'm just as good as anybody on Texas

I mean, on and on and on it went. Even on the sideline during the Peach Bowl, getting into it

with coaches, not a great look. But obviously, you see this fire and desire to prove people wrong

you know he's going to give you a 10 every single carry

So here's three teams that I view as potential landing spots, really good landing spots for Cam Scadable

We start in Washington. What a great story the commanders have been this year

and clearly Cliff Kingsbury has been able to work with Jaden Daniels

and help mold him into one of the best dynamic young QBs in the game

Right now, they've had to be able to work. Brian Robinson as their number one back

And Robinson's fine, but he's not a superstar in this league. And for Jaden Daniels, what you want is for him to take less hits, especially at the goal line

You don't want to take away Daniel's ability to scramble and create plays with his legs

He's just so talented, magnificent when he's running with the football. But obviously, the later in his career that it goes, you want to limit how much pounding he takes

especially at the goal line. Playing with Jane Daniels, could you imagine the type of

options you might have, feels like the perfect fit. Another great landing spot, the Buffalo Bills

You know, this is an offense that clearly is flying on the back of Josh Allen

And as Allen goes, the Bills go. But what I've loved to see from the Bills' offensive scheming this year is more of a trust

and a reliance on running the football and not just Josh running the football

James Cook has become a significant weapon for the Buffalo Bills. But I think you can even get better production around the goal line if you draft Scatible

Because you're a Bills team that at the moment, honestly, doesn't have a lot of big holes

There's a couple of different places the Bills can go to supplement that roster

But I think you always looking for ways to make Josh Allen life easier more versatile more options I think Scataboo and Buffalo could be very very interesting as a tandem back with James Cook and Josh Allen back there

Again, Josh's big body, you push him over the line. There's tush push

There's goal line surges. But if you can have somebody else a young back, take the pounding at the goal line or

short-yard in situations, look, if the bills win a Super Bowl, now you're talking about

some luxury items. I know that's crazy to say, but a luxury item might be Camp Scadaboo

Final pick of the second round. That to me feels like you're getting a great value of where

you'd be potentially drafting. Honestly, the number one destination, the team that should circle

Camp Scadaboo most, underline it, highlight it, scribble on top of it, is going to be the Dallas Cowboys

because Dak Prescott is only going to help elevate the Cowboys if he has a stud at running back

We remember how much better the Cowboys offense ran when the Zekele Elliott was leading the league in rushing

Rico Dowdo is a nice fine for the Cowboys, but they need to get back to basics

And C.D. Lamb throwing him the ball every single time they do the first down

that's going to wear him down as well. I think the Cowboys are the perfect place for Scataboo

And as much as an annoyance as the Cowboys, America's team, the branding of the Cowboys can oftentimes be

could you imagine the type of household hero, the type of legendary status Cam Scadaboo could become

if he becomes a star with the Dallas Cowboys? You know, it makes so much sense

The Cowboys probably won't do it. What is missing is. is a real solid go-to back

I think Camp Scadaboo could be the perfect answer for the Dallas Cowboys
