The Thunder Have a Chet Holmgren Problem 💣🏀

0:00
Chet Holmgren
0:01
just exposed
0:04
the one flaw that could be fatal to
0:07
Oklahoma City's dynasty.
0:10
It's him.
0:11
It's him being taken behind the woodshed
0:15
by Wemby in that spot. Because look, the
0:20
Spurs aren't going anywhere.
0:22
And we all look at the the Oklahoma City
0:24
Thunder and think, well, they've got all
0:26
of the pieces. They've already won a
0:28
championship.
0:29
They are going to be really good for a
0:31
really long time. How many titles can
0:33
they stack together? Well, not so fast
0:36
because you need Chet Holmgren to be
0:38
more than that. This stat line is
0:40
humiliating. Humiliating. 33 minutes
0:45
played was a minus three. 33 minutes
0:49
played was a minus three.
0:51
He scored four points,
0:53
had four rebounds.
0:56
That's it.
0:57
One offensive board. One.
1:02
This was a guy that was a complete
1:03
no-show, invisible, ghost dad type
1:07
effort in the biggest spot. And yeah,
1:09
you can say, well, it's one game. The
1:12
guy was a crucial part of a championship
1:14
team last year. Yeah, you can say that.
1:17
But because of how this game went down,
1:22
because of where this game went down,
1:24
because of who they played against,
1:26
you can't just forgive and forget that.
1:30
If Oklahoma City Thunder are going to
1:33
have this dynasty type run where every
1:39
year they're in the mix, every year they
1:41
can win a title, every year they're one
1:43
of the strongest teams in the NBA, then
1:46
Chet Holmgren has to be more than that.
1:49
Especially in a game seven, especially
1:52
at home, especially against that team
1:54
and that big man. He's got to be more
1:56
than that.
1:58
And that is so bad.
2:00
That is That is a guy looking so lost.
2:02
That is a guy looking like he's turtling
2:04
in the biggest spot. You can't just
2:06
shake that.
2:07
You can't just shake that.
2:09
That's a potential fatal flaw in this
2:12
grand design for the Thunder. Now, the
2:14
Thunder have draft picks, they've got
2:16
young pieces, they can make a lot of
2:17
things happen. They found guys clearly
2:20
like a Jared McCain to to fill in to you
2:23
know, when you have a hole, they they
2:25
know how to do it. I mean, Sam Presti
2:26
obviously is a magician.
2:28
But Chet Holmgren just
2:30
signed a huge contract extension too not
2:32
long ago. He's a massive part of this
2:35
team. And again,
2:38
in a game seven at home against the
2:41
young would-be everything, the alien,
2:45
four points, four rebounds.
2:49
Get out of here at that. That's
2:51
unacceptable.
2:53
That
2:54
That'll get the Thunder beat every
2:55
single year.
