Beating UNLV is a Must Win Game for Syracuse

Hey there, everyone. I'm Adam Gacken with the Orange Fizz. Syracuse football as its first road game of the season tomorrow night at number 25 UNLV. And I'm going to be honest, I think that this is a must win game for the Syracuse squad. I know on the road, six and a half point underdogs against a ranked team on the West Coast. That's not easy. It's not going to be easy for this team. But Syracuse has to be

to win it after the loss to Stanford two weeks ago, there are no more excuses for losing games

against teams that you should beat. Look, again, I know number 25 in the country. I know on the road

but UNLV is a group of five team that lost its starting quarterback. There are no excuses. You have

to win this game. I don't think that there's any other way around it. I don't see a world where

you can be okay with Syracuse losing to UNLV in football, a UNLV team that lost its

quarterback The Orange have to win this game because Syracuse needs to get to at least seven wins this season or else it a failure and a disappointment People were coming at me earlier in the year for saying that seven wins was a lot for this team But you guys set the

expectations. Syracuse needs to win at least seven with the schedule moving forward. After UNLV

it gets difficult at NC State and at Pitt. Neither of those are going to be easy. Both night games

NC State a Saturday night on the road, Carter Finley is a tough place to play. And then you go to

pit, a place that Syracuse struggles a lot on a Thursday night. That's gross. That's disgusting

College football on a Thursday night, no one likes it. But that's not easy. We know Syracuse football

Crazy things can happen. Then you host Virginia Tech. They almost beat Miami. That's not a

game. At Boston College, that's a good BC team led by Bill O'Brien. At Cal, a West Coast trip

anything can happen. ESPN has Yukon favor to beat Syracuse right now. I don't

don't think that's going to happen, but then you go to Miami. All I'm saying with laying out

that schedule is that there are not any gimmee games left for Syracuse. Going into

ACCC play, going into a three-game road trip with three primetime games, you need to start

it off with a win. And Syracuse needs to beat UNLV
