What's up Fizz Nation? Dan Schaum with you breaking down Syracuse being ranked a top
0:05
five team in the nation for having an under the radar transfer class heading into the
0:10
2024 football season. Now there's a reason why Fran Brown's squad is ranked in this top
0:15
five when you bring in a quarterback from Ohio State like Kyle McCord and a defensive
0:20
lineman from Texas A&M like Fadil Diggs, people around the country are going to start to take
0:25
notice McCord of course starting for 3000 plus yards this past season and then digs
0:31
wow this guy was exceptional at Texas A&M eight overall sacks three force fumbles and
0:37
also a two time captain in his three years with the Aggies so going to bring some leadership
0:43
to that defensive line of the orange. Now you might be wondering who are the other four
0:48
teams in that top five with Syracuse? Well actually two of them Syracuse play this year
0:55
and are also ACC opponents those two being NC State and Cal now NC State doing something
1:02
similar to Syracuse bringing in a new quarterback from coastal Carolina that's Grayson McCall
1:07
had just under 2000 yards this past season with 10 touchdowns but the big get for the
1:13
Wolfpack was the number one ranked wide receiver in 2022 coming out of high school that being
1:18
Noah Rogers actually was teammates with Kyle McCord at Ohio State this past season in his
1:24
freshman year but got no reception so transferred to NC State a couple local guys hoping to
1:30
help the Wolfpack get back to where they want to be and now as for Cal they also bring in
1:35
a quarterback that being Chandler Rogers through for 3000 plus yards with 33 touchdowns this
1:41
past season down at North Texas now Cal also getting a little bit of help in the backfield
1:47
by adding to Darius Callaway this guy led Old Dominion with 623 yards this past season
1:53
and originally signed with Alabama so some new moves all over the ACC going to be really
1:59
competitive we'll see how Syracuse fares against NC State and Cal later in this season with
2:04
the campaign just under three months away
