What Syracuse Students are Doing to Continue Home Duke Game Tradition

Today is the day: the Syracuse Orange take on the Duke Blue Devils in what has been a highly anticipated rivalry game, at least in the eyes of SU fans.

Yet while many have been looking forward to tonight’s feature game in the Dome, some have been waiting for it in a very different way the past few days.

Syracuse University students have once again been building tents outside Gate E of the Carrier Dome (where students enter the stadium) in order to secure a front spot in line so they can be the first students inside and can choose the best seats.

Students started setting up tents on Sunday night after the women’s basketball game. Each tent is allowed up to four students, and one must always be in the tent to hold the place in line.

And those tents will stay until the start of tonight’s game, where they and the rest of the Orange fans will be cheering for another home win over a ranked opponent.
