Team Fizz

D.A. (SU ’01) is the Vader to this Fizz Deathstar. He created the site in August ’08, and as editor-in-chief attempts daily to avoid icebergs while at the helm. He has been the host of “The D.A. Show” on CBS Sports Radio since ’13, heard nationally. Been known to battle coaches, appear on Top 10 shows, and lament Nike sports unis. D.A. began his radio career at WAER in Syracuse as Sports Director. Email D.A.:

Gill Gross (SU ’21) joined Team Fizz in October ’18. He is a Westchester, New York import. His mood is mainly affected by the performance of the New York Rangers, but he also dabbles in the Yankees, Knicks, Jets, tennis and MMA. Off the couch, Gill is probably playing tennis or drinking coffee. Sometimes both at the same time. He also works on sports staff at Z89 and Citrus TV. Email Gill:

Thomas Shults (SU ’21) joined Team Fizz in November ’18. He’s from Asheville, North Carolina but roots for the St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams. Besides watching Yadier Molina throw out runners from his knees, Thomas spends time in the sports departments at WAER, Z89 and CitrusTV. He is also a Broadcast and Digital Journalism major at the Newhouse school. Email Thomas:

Jaron May (SU ‘22) joined Team Fizz in October ‘19. A native of Wrentham, MA, he became a typical Boston fan rooting for the Patriots, Celtics and Red Sox. When Jaron isn’t Fizzing, he is working at WAER, CitrusTV and Z89 or watching his teams win championships. He studies Broadcast and Digital Journalism at the Newhouse School. Email Jaron:

Matt Bonaparte (SU ‘22) joined Team Fizz in January ‘20. A Greenwich, CT native, he grew up rooting for the Yankees, Knicks and Packers. When not watching World Series highlights or Aaron Rodgers hail mary compilations you can catch him putting in hours at CitrusTV and Z89. He studies Communication and Rhetorical Studies at the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Email Matt:

Ian Unsworth (SU ‘23) joined Team Fizz in January ‘20. Born in Philadelphia, Ian is a rabid Phillies, Eagles, and 76ers fan. He also has an affinity for the University of Michigan. When Ian isn’t watching basketball, he’s working at WAER or Z89 (or lifting weights at the Barnes Center). Ian studies Broadcast and Digital Journalism in the Newhouse School. Email Ian:

Brad Klein (SU ’22) joined Team Fizz in March ’20. He is a Millburn, New Jersey native, and was sadly born into Mets, Jets and Nets fandom. When not explaining to people that he doesn’t just root for these teams because they rhyme, Brad is likely watching Syracuse, another family tradition. Brad works for WAER sports, Z89 sports and CitrusTV. Email Brad:

John Eads (SU ’23) joined Team Fizz in August ’20. He is a Northville, Michigan native who grew up driving down M-14 to the Big House on Saturdays to cheer on the Wolverines. He’s a college football junkie, and unfortunately a Detroit sports fan. Captain of the club lacrosse program, you can usually find him at the Barnes Center or playing NCAA Football 14. Email John:

Cameron Ezeir (SU ‘23) joined Team Fizz in March ‘21. He hails from San Diego, California, and is a disappointed Padres and Chargers fan, while placing all his hope in his hometown Lakers. While not being asked why he left the sun for the snow, Cameron is working at WAER, Z89 or CitrusTV. He studies Broadcast & Digital Journalism at the Newhouse School. Email Cameron:

Carter Bainbridge (SU ’23) joined Team Fizz in April ’21. He is a Nashville, Tennessee native and a fan of the Dolphins, Cubs, and Predators. Carter can usually be found working at WAER, Z89, or playing MLB The Show. He studies Broadcast & Digital Journalism at the Newhouse School. Email Carter:
