Amid the buzz of Syracuse football beginning spring practices this week, the Orange has gained another team member. Toledo cornerback Jordan Martin has signed with SU as a graduate transfer. Syracuse.com was the first to report the news.
Martin will graduate from Toledo in May. The 6-foot 2-inch, 205 pound cornerback will be able to begin with the Orange immediately.
Martin has one year of NCAA eligibility left after he missed the entire 2015 season with an ACL injury.
The Maryland native signed with Toledo in 2013 and has spent four years there. This past season, he had 24 tackles and broke up four passes.
Martin will now compete for a spot on Syracuse’s starting roster as team preparations for the 2017 season begin.
