Team Fizz
D.A. (SU ’01) is the Vader to this Fizz Deathstar. Creator in August ’08, he has steered the ship into many an iceberg in his time at the helm. By day a blogger, by night host of “The D.A. Show” on CBS Sports Radio, heard nationally on over 100 radio stations including Syracuse’s 1260 The Score. In between, been known to battle Herm Edwards and lament the new Syracuse basketball unis. D.A. began his radio career at WAER in Syracuse where he was Sports Director. Email D.A.: [email protected]
Kevin Fitzgerald (SU ’14) joined Team Fizz in September ’11. He breathes all NY sports, but nothing beats a Sunday spent watching his football Giants. He’s the most opinionated sports fan you know, and loves it. K-Fitz is also a member of the Z89 radio sports staff and is host of the “Weekend Wake Up Call.” With a strong sports talk background, and healthy love for debate, Fitz is one of the lead hosts of Fizz Radio. “ Email Kevin: [email protected]
Jake Moskowitz (SU ’15) joined Team Fizz in October ’11. A proud New Hampshirite, “Live Free or Die” doesn’t do justice to the shenanigans Jake finds himself in. With a background in lacrosse, he immediately became The Fizz’s lead writer on the SU lax beat. Having accepted he’s far better talking sports than playing them, Jake studies Broadcast Journalism while working on the Sports and News staff at WAER. Email Jake: [email protected]
Brendan Glasheen (SU ’15) joined Team Fizz in April ’12. Brendan proudly hails from Lowell, MA – home of famous boxer Mickey Ward. When Brendan realized his ring skills were limited and couldn’t look as good as Mark Wahlberg, his future identity as a fighter vanished. A die hard New England sports fan with a trademark thick Boston accent, Glasheen studies broadcast journalism. He is a member of the PR Committee of Phi Delta Theta and works on the WAER Sports Staff. Email Brendan: [email protected]
Austin Pollack (SU ’15) joined Team Fizz in February ’13. Austin is a diehard Bostonian, but doesn’t have a wicked heavy Boston accent like the Wahlberg’s. Austin’s specialty comes in college basketball, especially Syracuse and its conference opponents. His hope is to apply his college basketball knowledge to the broadcast booth and print media. Austin is studying broadcast journalism in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications but in his spare time, he works at the Daily Orange and Z89 Sports. Email Austin: [email protected]
Zephan Mayell (SU ’15) joined Team Fizz in March ’13. Zephan is from Westchester, NY and loves his New York sports. Unfortunately, he isn’t used to seeing much winning from his favorite teams, the Mets, Jets and Knicks. He is very opinionated and is passionate about football, basketball and baseball (his favorite). Zephan studies Accounting at the Whitman School of Management. Email Zephan: [email protected]
