“A friendly donation to their bank account along with a date with a few girls from the SU Dance team. It’d help if the girls had low moral standards”
Apparently that’s what it will take to get recruits to come to SU nowadays.
Or at least according to commenter 44PRIDE over at this message board it does.
::Raises Hand:: Can I be a recruit?
The Fizz doesn’t know whether Syracuse recruit Sal Conaboy likes blondes or brunettes, but let’s hope he likes Orange.
Conaboy is a 6’5″ 255-pound lineman from Clark Summitt, PA in the class of 2010.
And oh yeah, he’s got offers from¬†14 schools already.
So it might take Doug and the boys a little longer to try reel him in.
But being a former O-lineman himself, Marrone has some leverage.
Coach can relate to him on that level and after¬†talking with Yahoo! Sports, Conaboy says he hasn’t even picked his favorite schools yet.
“Once I try and visit as many schools as I can I’ll sit down and narrow it down a little more. I’ll probably narrow it down to five and then go from there. I’ll most likely take some officials unless I go ahead and commit. I wish I could narrow it down some, but I really can’t.”
In addition to having¬†“quick feet… (and a) bright future” , Sal was also the co-chair of his school’s from¬†Relay For Life¬†this year.
(Even chicks with low standards dig guys who do community service.)
ESPN even reports, “When he gets his hands on linebackers it usually results in a pancake block… in all aspects of his game he is a dominant player.”
And let’s face it, even if you get beat as much as Corey Chavers (pictured above with aforementioned hotties) did on the O-line the last couple years, the dance team won’t know who won anyway.
