Hailed as the best thing to come out of Delaware since¬†Elena Delle Donne, major hottie (pictured), running back¬†Jerome Smith says he’ll be with the Orange in 2010.
Smith is a 5’11” 210-pound rising star senior from Pencader Charter High School in New Castle.
As a junior, he ran for 956 yards and eight scores and also caught two touchdowns.
“They told me they like to call all their running backs super backs so they can do everything,”¬†Smith said. “Whatever that means, I’m ready to do it.”
Uh yeah, you let¬†The Fizz know when you find out what that “superback” thing is. Sounds like something left over from the Groobers Error.
Interestingly, Smith’s only two scholarship offers were from Syracuse and Wisconsin.
Hmm, Jerome had to think “Snow, cheese, beer, brats and snow… or snow, snow and Doug Marrone?”
Welcome to Orange Nation Jerome.
Don’t be worried that Jerome was part of the first ever graduating class at Pencader either. They don’t charge tuition either according to theirWikipedia entry.
Either way, Smith says, “(Syracuse) was the school that was most upfront with me, and they use a spread offense like ours at Pencader Charter. That made it easy.”
