After this weekend’s debacle,¬†The Fizz is going to use the “relax, it’s basketball season” line to bypass any Monday morning quarterbacking from the atrocity in Louisville.
This week is all about hoops. 2K Sports Classic, the return to the Garden, and of course one gem in the class of 2010 set to make his college choice at the ESPN Zone in New York City.
It’s been a long road, and a lot of time spent following Tobias Harris’¬†Twitter page, The Fizz’s exclusiveconversation with his coach, and following up with the other blogs trying to pin the spot that he ends up.
The final guessing ends this week, in words no more succinct then those from the 5-star forward.
“At the airport… flight to G-Tech in a few… Last vist until one of the biggest decisions!”
It’s been an interesting process with the Long Island baller. He tweeted from just about everywhere. He used all of his allotted official visits (and said he loved them all). And he has not identified a favorite among seven top-tier programs in the country.
He’s used the new media to his advantage, he’s been 100% professional about it, and he’s played everything apolitically. That’s rare.
The potential for the ‘Cuse is obvious. Fab Melo, Dion Waiters, and then Tobias? That’s a lot of stars, and a lot of potential next season.
But there are a bunch of schools (and coaches) with the same thing on their minds. This forward can play, and will do just that in his freshman year.
Stay tuned to¬†The Fizz; we’ll be eyeing the situation all week.
