Syracuse football added another name to it’s list today. Four star offensive lineman Tyrone Sampson Jr. committed to Syracuse while visiting the university.

Sampson will join the Orange for the 2018 season after graduating from high school next year.
The 6 foot 3 inch, 295 pound center hails from Detroit, Michigan. He is ranked as the fifth best recruiting prospect from his home state, according to 247Sports. Sampson also ranks as the 280th best high school prospect in the country and third in the country at center, according to 247Sports.
Syracuse was the first to make an offer to Sampson, offering more than a year ago on March 29, 2016, according to 247Sports. Sampson first visited Syracuse on an unofficial trip on November 19, 2016.
SU’s offer was followed up by others from Indiana, Eastern Michigan, Buffalo, Virginia, Kentucky, Minnesota and Louisville. But 388 days later, Sampson committed himself to play for the team that reached out to him first.
