Despite signing a bulk of its class during the first signing day back in December, Syracuse still had A LOT happen on Wednesday’s second national signing day so let’s get you all caught up.
Also, if this whole print thing isn’t for you, here’s our podcast recap of Wednesday’s events:

Mychale Salahuddin Trolls SU
This was the biggest moment of the day. Salahuddin, a four-star running back from the D.C. area, completely spurned SU in his announcement ceremony. The former USC-commit fooled everyone by initially grabbing the Syracuse hat from the desk in front of him only to throw it down seconds later and rip out a Pittsburgh T-Shirt (and SU fans hearts in the process).

Two Stud Running Backs Put Pen to Paper
While the manner in which Salahuddin made his decision stings, it really doesn’t hurt that much because SU is already loaded at the running-back position. Two of the Orange’s three tailback commits, Jarveon Howard and Akeem Dixon both officially signed with Syracuse Wednesday.
Dixon, the no. 74 running-back in the 2018 class from Florida, is going to be wearing Orange despite offers from Purdue and Louisville. Meanwhile, Howard, the 50th ranked tailback from Mississippi, had received interest from several SEC schools, including Alabama.
SU’s third running-back commit Jawhar Jordan has yet to ink his decision. However, he told Orange Fizz that he still plans to join Dino Babers and company as soon as he improves his academics.
Jawhar Jordan (@CutsOnDime) tells the Fizz that he will NOT sign tomorrow because he needs to finish some academic requirements…
However, Jordan says he is still "110% committed" to Syracuse and will sign in the next period, despite other schools trying to get him to flip.

Defensive End Caleb Okechukwu Picks SU
Okechukwu provided perhaps the best news Syracuse received all day, considering he now becomes the first defensive end to sign with SU in the 2018 class. The Under Armour All-American announced his decision through this video on twitter around 11:30 Wednesday.
First I just want to thank everyone who has help from my coaches to my Family and most Importantly God. This journey hasn‚Äôt been easy but I‚Äôm glad we got through it. I say We because it‚Äôs a team effort I‚Äôm truly thankful. I‚Äôm glad to announce that I be attending….. pic.twitter.com/zaMCxjZcmj

247sports.com ranks Okechukwu as the 74th best defensive end in the class of 2018. The D.C. native signed with SU despite offers from Texas, Tennessee and Arizona.
