NCAA Tournament: Who’s Looking Good For Glory?

A college basketball season is normally a fun and unpredictable ride. But this year is shaping up to be even more exciting than ever. Why? Because it’s so difficult to predict who will come out on top. If you read the experts’ predictions, you’ll find an array of different potential champions. There are a handful of teams who could all realistically begin dreaming of victory, although unfortunately Syracuse isn’t one of them. Let’s take a closer look at just four of the big contenders.

Houston Cougars

Watch a single Cougars game, and you may wonder what all the fuss is about. They don’t always play like a championship-winning team. But only a fool would write them off. In the past five years, the Cougars have proven to be one of the most consistent teams in the country. They have Marcus Sasser and Jarace Walker on their side, two of college basketball’s most exciting stars, too, so a deep run through March is a definite possibility.

Texas Longhorns

The Longhorns might be a long shot to win the NCAA tournament. But they have plenty of potential, and some fans are using an introductory free bet deal to back the Longhorns for a Final Four. They’ve got one of the best coaches in the nation in Chris Beard and two top talents Timmy Allen and Marcus Carr. If they can click despite inexperience, then they’ll be a force to be reckoned with — though it’s possible that they’ll have to wait until next year.

Kentucky Wildcats

It’s no surprise that the Kentucky Wildcats are found at the top of the favorites list. They’ve annuall got great players. They look capable of beating anyone on their day, and when the brackets are unveiled in a few months, they’ll probably be a top-seed. The one thing that could hold them back is Oscar Tshiebwe’s injury. If that impacts his performance, then Kentucky will lose some of their usual fluidity. But if the depth of the team is strong, then the Cats can cut down the nets.

Baylor Bears

The Bears are getting close to hitting their full potential. Baylor has proven it can win a title. They’ve got the talent to go all the way again this year. They might have the best backcourt in the country, and if Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua and Langston Love can hit form, then it could be another deep run.
