The Whole Basketball Game: C
It was maybe the most bleh basketball game of the year. SU was obviously the better team and led the whole way. But, the Orange never truly pulled away and only won by 12. Niagara is the worst team Syracuse played all season other than Chaminade so it should have been a bigger margin of victory. A win is still a win though.
Adrian Autry’s Bench: A
The one big positive was that the bench showed up again. 40 points for the non-starters! If you told me that would happen five years ago I’d say your crazy. Quadir Copeland scored in double figures for the third straight game which is a big sign moving forward.
Fran Brown: A+
What more is there to like about this guy? Of course, the recruiting is awesome, but what I love is Fran Brown wearing a Cuse jersey to tonight’s game. He also met with alumni beforehand. Everything is perfect so far with Brown.
The Football Game: F-
That may have been one of the worst football games of all time. Everything went wrong for the Orange. The defense couldn’t stop a Pop Warner team. The offense looked like a Pop Warner team. A total disaster for the Orange, but I don’t think. there’s any other way the Dino Babers era of Syracuse football could have ended. While he may have been let go over a month ago, Babers still had an impact on this game.
Uniform Combinations: A+
Two awesome uniform combos today. The Niagara purples were beautiful and you can’t even get me started on the orange vs green colors in the Boca Raton Bowl. Just all around amazingness from the uniform gods today.
