Syracuse recently landed five-star 2025 forward Sadiq White. White picked SU over Alabama, Southern California, LSU, Georgetown, Tennessee, and Texas. The 6 ‘8 forward is a consensus top-35 prospect and sets a new standard for Syracuse. White was coach Autry’s second five-star commitment since taking the reins, it begs the question, is there any ceiling for his recruiting with ‘Cuse? With that in mind, let’s take a look at who could be next from the class of 2025 to come to the 315.
Kiyan Anthony
A name on SU’s fans’ radar is top-30 2025 prospect Kiyan Anthony. Kiyan is the son of Syracuse basketball legend Carmelo Anthony and is thought of as the number one player in the state of New York from the class of 2025. Anthony visited SU back in October of 2023, and the speculation about his commitment has been growing since then. So far, the guard has offers from five schools. Those schools are Arizona State, Bryant, Syracuse, Manhattan, Memphis, Dayton, Florida State, and George Mason. Anthony’s stats back up the reason for his offers, the guard is averaging just over 20 points per game on the EYBL circuit. Along with that, he plays high school at Long Island Lutheran, one of the most notable basketball programs in the nation. While nothing has officially been said about Anthony’s commitment, it would be quite the story for the guard to follow in his dad’s legacy at Syracuse.
Tyler Jackson
Another name that has been thrown around is 6’2 guard Tyler Jackson. Jackson is in ESPN’s consensus top 40 prospects and was given four stars by 247 Sports. The guard is the fifth-ranked prospect in all of Georgia. Jackson averaged just over five points in the overtime elite circuit and is described as a shifty, fast, downhill guard. So far, the guard has earned offers from Alabama, Syracuse, Cal, DePaul, Maryland, and Auburn. If Autry was able to land Jackson, it would mark another significant step in the right direction for the Orange. If SU can land just one of Anthony or Jackson, the 2025 class will be one of the strongest groups of prospects in the entire nation.
