Just a few days ago, it was announced Syracuse tight end Oronode Gadsden would be rated 91 overall in EA College Football 25. The 91-OVR rating is the 2nd highest-rated tight-end and 69th overall rated player in the game. With Gadsden ranked in the top 100, it begs the question, where will the rest of SU’s top stars slot in? Let’s project where and why the rest of Syracuse’s top stars will be rated with EA College Football 25 dropping today.
QB-Kyle McCord-85
McCord was one of the most prolific arms at Ohio State this past year. The rising senior threw had over 3,000 yards last season with 24 touchdowns, leading the Buckeyes to an 11-win season. On top of that, the play-caller already showed out in Syracuse’s spring game, going 18-of-28 for 242 yards and a touchdown in just the first half. For EA Sports to rank McCord anything below 85 would be a disgrace with his proven track record, and the potential he has to lead SU to victory this season.
DL-Fadil Diggs-82
Diggs was one of if not the biggest recruit Fran Brown brought in besides McCord this offseason. The former Aggie had four sacks this past season while being a three-time captain with the squad. 247 Sports also ranked Diggs as a four-star in the transfer portal. With the New Jersey native’s speed and ability to slide past O-lineman, anyone playing EA College Football 25 should terrorize the opposing quarterback using Diggs.
RB-LeQuint Allen Jr.-80
The reason that Allen comes in 80 overall is because of his ability to be a dual-threat player. Allen can be a ground and pound back when needed, as he rushed for 1,338 yards and 10 rushing scores this past season. At the same time, the New Jersey native can be a pass-catching back, bringing in 55 passes for 330 yards in 2023. These two skills will allow any EA College Football 25 user to call audibles at the line, keeingp the defense guessing as Allen can be used in nearly any role on offense.
