Kiyan Anthony Includes Syracuse in Final Six Schools

Kiyan Anthony, a 2025 four-star recruit, included Syracuse as one of his final six schools that he’s considering. The son of Orange great Carmelo Anthony released the list on Thursday evening.

Anthony is ranked as a consensus top-40 player in the class of 2025. The guard is considering Syracuse, along with Auburn, Florida State, Ohio State, USC, and Rutgers. He will visit each school this fall, with his commitment tentatively scheduled to happen before the winter.

While that’s some stiff competition, On3 gives Syracuse a 90% chance of landing Kiyan Anthony. It’s not a guarantee, but SU head coach Adrian Autry is on the right track here.

The key to recruiting Anthony has actually been keeping his dad’s legacy at an arms length.

“Obviously my Dad went there 20 something years ago…I feel like they’re recruiting me for myself, and not just because of my father. That’s what I like.”

Anthony would become the second four-star from the class of 2025 to commit to the ‘Cuse. Forward Sadiq White verbally committed to Syracuse last month.

Another four-star recruit from that class, Tyler Jackson, has talked about teaming up with Kiyan Anthony for the Orange.

“We’re trying to bring another national championship.”

There’s no certainties in college basketball recruiting, but Syracuse could have something big if White, Jackson, and Anthony all end up on the Orange.
