Who’s walking on Senior Day for Syracuse?

Well, it hasn’t been the greatest four years for Syracuse men’s basketball. The Orange will have an entire class go without an NCAA Tournament appearance for the first time in a longgg time.

But despite this, it’s always important to honor the seniors who’ve given a ton to the program, and their moment comes tonight in SU’s senior night game against Virginia (even though almost all of these guys were not with SU their freshman year).

Nine players are expected to walk, per a team X post. So here’s who to expect:

Kyle Cuffe Jr.

This is the only real big surprise. The guard has been a true hustle guy for the Orange the past two years. But as only a redshirt-junior, he has more eligibility, while he says will be using at SU. He’s just walking today because’s he’s academically graduating.

Lucas Taylor

The Georgia Tech transfer took a little while to warm up to Syracuse, his third D1 school. But as the season’s gone on, Taylor’s had a little more consistency. His 5 of 7 shooting night against SMU was a highlight of the season.

Jaquan Carlos

Carlos had big shoes to fill when replacing Judah Mintz, more or less. It’s been a rocky year for the Hofstra transfer, including at one point losing his starting spot at PG. But, he’s recovered well, and has hit some big shots for SU recently.

Naheem McLeod

The big man doesn’t play a lot. But when he does, he’s a lot of fun. An injury last year slowed his progress, but he still managed to have some highlights this year, mainly a 4 for 4 shooting night against Duke.

Anthony Clayton

One of SU’s bench guys since his sophomore year, Clayton only has played in four games with the Orange. He started his career at Clark University.

Jyáre Davis

The Delaware transfer was a fun pickup for SU over the offseason. And quietly, he’s been one of the Orange’s more consistent players. He’s often found his way into double doubles. But while even being in the shadow of Eddie Lampkin, he’s found a way to stand out with great use of his body on the court.

Chaz Owens

A graduate student, Owens has bounced around schools. He spent at post-grad year at the Scotland Campus before coming to Syracuse. Then his junior year, he played at a JUCO before returning to SU. He hasn’t seen any time this year.

Eddie Lampkin Jr.

SU’s flashiest offseason pickup, Lampkin came over from Colorado after playing in the NCAA tournament. While he couldn’t return with SU, he’s been a double-double machine for the Orange. And his off-the-court cooking and social media presence have brought good exposure to SU.

Nate Fleisher

A senior addition to the team, Fleischer only saw exhibition minutes this season for the Orange.
