Syracuse’s 2026 recruiting class is growing stronger by the day.
Three-star defensive back and wide receiver Ibh Muhammad committed to the Orange on Tuesday, shortly after fellow three-star prospect Jaxson Gates announced that he was decommitting from Syracuse.
With Muhammad’s commitment, Syracuse’s 2026 recruiting class is now ranked 24th in the nation, adding to a strong recruiting class that features four-star prospects like wide receiver Amare Gough.
Muhammad is the latest New Jersey commit to come out of the Camden-area pipeline, where head coach Fran Brown has strong ties. Muhammad is ranked as the 37th overall recruit from the state of New Jersey, and is the 150th overall defensive back in the country.
The Camden product held offers from notable schools like Temple, Old Dominion and Akron before committing to the Orange, but said that his close relationship with Fran Brown convinced him to sign with Syracuse.
“Cuse feels like home. It’s family all around and I’m big on relationships,” Muhammad told 247sports.
Syracuse’s 2026 recruiting class now sits at 24 commitments, tied for the third-most in the country with Minnesota and Boston College, only trailing South Florida and Southern California.
