Penn State Loses 3-Star DL Alexander Haskell to Syracuse Football’s 2026 Class

Syracuse Football has added another piece to its 2026 recruiting class. On Wednesday, Alexander Haskell flipped his commitment from Penn State to Syracuse.

Haskell is one of 10 recruits to decommit from Penn State since the firing of longtime head coach James Franklin. He’s a three-star defensive lineman from Saint Joseph’s Prep in Pennsylvania, which happens to be the alma mater of former Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord. The 6-4, 265-pound lineman joined the Orange just 24 hours after announcing his commitment from Penn State.

Per 247Sports, the 2026 commit ranks 17th in Pennsylvania and becomes the 29th member of Syracuse’s 2026 class, which is currently 26th in the nation.
