Travis Eman is another “is he/isn’t he” D-1 quarterback.
The two-star recruit out of Buffalo is on the Orange radar as a pigskin thrower, but is listed as a “dual-threat” quarterback (read, likes to run).
So far, Buffalo and TCU have made offers to the 6’0, 200 pound Eman. The big reason? His 40-yard dash. Right now, he’s clocked down at a 4.6 second-40, according to¬†Rivals. That’s incredibly quick for a quarterback.
Will the ‘Cuse end up putting a scholarship on Eman’s doorstep?
This seems eerily familiar to the recruitment of Jawan Simmons. The athletic quarterback was pumped up by his big arm and physical tools, but never had legit offers materialize to be considered a top-tier quarterback. In the end, he decided on prep school to try and get more exposure.
This might be a “safety look” for the Orange. Eman’s senior year will decide how many coaches call. However, if the ‘Cuse can’t find two reliable quarterback recruits, you might see coach Marrone express a little more interest.
