Another game, another victory. The Orange continued its brilliance this season with a 57-44 win against Clemson. Needless to say, this was not like the last time Syracuse played the Tigers.

C.J. Fair led the Orange in scoring on the night, dropping 19 points in what Jim Boeheim said was Fair’s “most efficient game this season.” The Orange had to play small with Baye Moussa Keita leaving the game due to a sprained right knee. Jerami Grant played center while Christmas got into foul trouble in the second half.

“Jerami did a great job in there tonight. He’s pretty quick in there,” said Boeheim. No word yet on how long Keita might be out for.

Clemson came into the game as one of the nation’s best defensive teams. The Tigers only allow 55.1 PPG, the best out of any team in Division 1. The Syracuse defense was better tonight, however, as they limited the Tigers to 44 points, 19 of which came from K.J. Daniels. Clemson went 34 percent from the floor. The Orange finished at 44 percent.

Syracuse travels to no. 25 Pittsburgh on Wednesday in what should be a tough road matchup. Said Cooney on the upcoming game:

‚ÄúIt‚Äôs a tough place to play. Their fans are good, their students are good. They‚Äôre almost right on top of you. Environments like that are just tough to play at.”

The Orange will look to keep rolling at a loud Petersen Events Center.
