Syracuse wide receiver commit Sadiq Palmer dominated in his Red Bank Regional (NJ) team’s 30-0 victory over Colts Neck (NJ) Friday. RBR quarterback Jack Navitsky threw two touchdown passes in the game, both going to Palmer. This week Red Bank Regional travels to Ocean Township, both of these teams have won their last two games.
In Florida, SU cornerback commit Scoop Bradshaw’s Plant high school team (FL) knocked off Leto (FL) 41-7 Friday. Through three games Bradshaw leads Plant in tackles with 25 and has one interception. The Florida native has run the ball five times for Plant, caught 11 passes and also returned kicks for his team so far this year.
Orange QB commit Rex Culpepper attends Plant too, but is currently out with a torn ACL. Culpepper’s brother, Judge, is a sophomore at Plant and has an offer from Syracuse as well. Judge is being recruited to play tight end but also has experience under center.
In the 2017 class, Syracuse linebacker commit Isaiah McDuffie struggled in Bennett’s (NY) 27-16 defeat to Orchard Park (NY). McDuffie has committed to play linebacker at Syracuse, but he also plays running back. The junior rushed for just 87 yards on 14 carries in the game. Defensively, McDuffie’s unit did enough to keep Bennett close in this one. The Bennett quarterback threw three interceptions however. This sealed the team’s fate.
Finally, 2016 running backs Moe Neal and Darius Stubbs both had bye weeks last week. Neal’s Forestview (NC) team takes on Lake Norman Charter this weekend. Stubbs’ Luella (GA) team has another bye week this week.
