Three-star forward Oshae Brissett will be wearing orange in Central New York.
The Mississauga, Ontario, Canada native announced his commitment to Syracuse on TSN during halftime at the Raptors v. Knicks game. He put on an orange hat with the Syracuse “S” logo.
Brissett stands at 6‚Äô6‚Äù and currently plays for the Athlete Institute Basketball Academy in Toronto. 247Sports ranks him as the top Ontario basketball recruit. Canada’s basketball pipeline has grown stronger with better talent in recent years, including lottery picks in the NBA.¬†
He is the first recruit from the Class of 2017 to commit to Syracuse.
Quade Green – another Syracuse recruiting target ranked 22nd on the 2017 ESPN 100 Recruiting Database – tweeted his congratulations to Brissett.

Green said he is committing next week and is considering Syracuse. Could SU get good news in two doses? It would be a huge week if the Orange can secure Brissett and then nabs Green as well.
