College basketball always has its good matchups, but the 2017-2018 season might bring one Syracuse basketball hasn’t seen just yet.
Syracuse Head Coach Jim Boeheim is back in Central New York for his 42nd season as the Orange’s leader. Meanwhile, Jimmy Boeheim, the SU legend’s son, will be starting his first year at Cornell.
CBS’s Jon Rothstein has reported that the Orange‚Äôs season will open against the Big Red in November. This time, the color war will feature more than just a regional rivalry.
Syracuse will open the 2017-18 season against Cornell on 11/10 at the Carrier Dome, per a source.

Syracuse has won the past 37 matchups against Cornell and leads the all-time series 58-19, since 1950.
