The Fizz posted¬†the FizzClusive with Michael Carter Williams, a class of 2011 commit for the Orange. Let’s check up on another potential Syracuse recruit dominating the prep scene.
Ladies and gentlemen, let The Fizz introduce you to LeBryan Nash from Dallas.
The numbers look great. 6’6″ 210 pounds, a small forward who still has time to grow and a 5-star kid to boot.
He hasn’t gotten a ‘Cuse offer yet, but there are a whole lot of other teams in the Syracuse boat; Florida, Gonzaga, Oklahoma, and Georgetown to name a few.
He averaged 13.6 points a game in his sophomore year at Lincoln High School; not bad for someone who can’t legally drive a car.
There’s also an interesting chat with Nash from an adidas camp too.
Ah, the subtle comparison to Carmelo Anthony. That’s always nice.
But in all seriousness, a lanky, versatile forward from Texas? Think Wes Johnson here people. With Carter-Williams already signed on, Trevor Cooney liking SU, and potentially a kid who already thinks highly of Melo, the ducks are lining up two years down the road.
While Mike Hopkins appears to be in the middle of a historic Black Jack run at the recruiting table, Jimmy B’s name still looms large. And the athletes he’s looking at have 800 reasons (and counting) to believe in the hall of famer.
