Both Jim Boeheim and Dino Babers have been busy recruiting this summer. Below are two players who have received SU offers this week and a third who is drawing interest from the Orange.
Oshae Brissett – Power Forward
Brissett announced that SU had offered him on his Twitter account Monday. Adrian Autry has been his main recruiter, according to Scout.
Last season the power forward played at Findlay Prep in Nevada but plans to transfer for his senior season. Brissett told Scout that he wants to visit Syracuse in the future, but no date has been set yet for the trip.
In addition to SU, the 2017 forward also holds offers from a handful of Pac-12 schools as well as some other Division I programs. There is currently no front-runner to land his commitment.
Kenyatta Watson – Safety
In recruiting, it’s never too early to build relationships. That’s especially true in SU’s recruitment of Georgia safety Kenyatta Watson, a rising high school sophomore. Syracuse offered the 2019 defensive back on Monday. Watson holds seven other offers with Tennessee currently leading the way. With National Signing Day 2019 over two years away, the Orange staff will have plenty of time to change Watson’s mind.
Christian Hinckson – Small Forward
2018 small forward Christian Hinkson doesn’t have a Syracuse offer yet, but the SU staff has reached out to him.
He told the Fizz via a direct message, ‚ÄúI spoke to Coach Mcnamara and we talked about how great Syracuse‚Äôs program and history is as a whole. He also mentioned there’s a possibility of an elite camp in late August and they would like me to come.‚Äù
Hinckson plans to attend the camp.
