What is being called a “minor injury” seems to be enough to sideline LSU star running back Derrius Guice when Syracuse football visits Baton Rouge this Saturday.
Guice already has 300 yards and 4 touchdowns this season. He is the Tigers’ leading rusher, and he is clearly LSU’s go-to guy to pound the gridiron with 29 more attempts than second-leading-rusher Darrel Williams.
And now it seems that Williams will acquire most of the workload this weekend against the Orange defense.
Williams already has four touchdowns himself on just 28 carries for 159 yards.
Meanwhile, LSU quarterback Danny Etling has only thrown 535 yards for one touchdown. More pressure will be on him this weekend as his team is down one core power horse.

Interesting fact: both Syracuse and LSU’s football teams have scored 57 points against each other all time.
Update (9/23/17):
In a turn of events, Derrius Guice is active against Syracuse football.
