In what has already been an impressive recruiting class with the likes of Darius Bazley and Jalen Carey heading to the Hill, Syracuse basketball picked up another commitment in the class of 2018 on Tuesday.
Point guard Brendan Paul announced his decision on Tuesday afternoon via his Twitter account:
Blessed to say that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Syracuse University #GoOrange #BenchMob #TowelGang pic.twitter.com/G6nqX30pn2

Paul is currently in a post-grad year at Brewster Academy with Jim Boeheim’s son Buddy, which may have led to his commitment. The guard told Orange Fizz that he received an offer to be a preferred walk-on from Coach Boeheim when the head man went to an open gym at Brewster.
Standing at 6-foot-2, the Cleveland, Ohio native is a sharpshooting point guard that has also shown a knack for flashy passing and finishing near the rim. He’ll be a nice addition to the walk-on squad for the Orange in the future.
