Dino Babers had a busy Father’s Day afternoon, adding two new recruits to the 2020 recruiting cycle. Three-stars Leon Lowery (DE from New Jersey) and Justin Barron (ATH from Connecticut) became the fourth and fifth recruits to verbally commit to Syracuse.
The addition of Lowery and Barron removes Syracuse from the cellar of the 2020 ACC recruiting rankings. Neither of these guys pop off the charts, but are both solid recruits to help bolster the foundation of the class.

Other Offers: Indiana, UMASS, Rutgers, Temple
Lowery committed to the ‘Cuse after a great showing at SU’s camp over the weekend. As you might notice in the tweet above from CuseNation.com, this guy has a lot of speed coming off the line of scrimmage. Lowery’s main task will be bulking up to get ready for the size of ACC offensive lineman. There’s plenty to like about Lowery’s potential.

WR/TE/DB: Justin Barron (Suffield Academy, Suffield, CT)
Size: 6-4, 210
Ranking: 1221st, 3-star, 83.6 overall (via 247sports.com)
Other Offers: Boston College, Pittsburgh, Air Force, FIU, Fordham
Syracuse and Boston College seemed to be the two finalists for Barron and the Orange won out. Barron is versatile, to say the least, which gives Dino Babers and the Orange plenty of options when he arrives. Given his size, he figures to fit in the Syracuse offense as a tight end.
