Marek Dolezaj announced on Twitter he won’t be returning to Syracuse for the 2021-22 season.
In his four years at Syracuse, Dolezaj defined what it means to be a fan favorite. The Slovakian was a prime example of hustle since day 1. Over his four seasons in Orange, Marek was as versatile as they come. His career stats on the hill show that: 7.3 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.2 apg, 1.1 spg. 
Not every one of Marek’s memorable moments showed up in the box score. Orange fans will never forget the charge he took against Zion Williamson inside Cameron Indoor on the way to an upset victory,
or this season’s debacle with his front tooth against Georgetown inside the Carrier Dome.
Dolezaj was an integral part of the Syracuse basketball program for 4 conference tournament wins, 3 trips to the NCAA tournament, and 2 Sweet 16 runs. Orange fans wish him well going forward.
