This Saturday Syracuse will hold its annual Spring Football game in the Carrier Dome. This is a chance for fans to see which players have improved in spring practice and what the team will generally look like come the fall.
It’s also an opportunity for recruits to come to the Hill and get a sense of Syracuse football. SU will host a bunch of 2016 players at this weekend’s game.
Topping the list is New Jersey quarterback Anthony Brown. He is a 6’2’’ three-star dual-threat QB who has offers from ten different schools including the Orange. Brown is the highest rated quarterback SU is looking at in the 2016 class. Penn State and Notre Dame are also interested. Watch Brown’s highlights here.
Another interesting prospect coming to Dome on Saturday is Virginia linebacker Chase Pine. Pine is a bit of an unknown, but scouts say he’s quickly moving up the rankings. He’s 6’4’’ and 215 pounds. Watch Pine’s highlights here.
New Jersey running back Tyler Thompson has already visited Syracuse but plans to return for the Spring Game. The 6’1’’ 180 pound rusher said that Syracuse is his top school after the initial visit despite having other offers from Boston College, UConn, and Virginia. Watch Thompson’s highlights here.
Finally, New Jersey safety Phil Campbell plans to come to the Dome as well. Campbell attends the same high school as Syracuse signee Dontae Strickland, South Brunswick. Watch his highlights here.
Here’s a list of the other players that will be at the game:
