Good to see undebatable Big East supremacy is awaiting the Orange tomorrow.
After the smack-down Georgetown put on Villanova this afternoon, a Syracuse win at Cincinnati puts to bed the title of Big Dawg in the conference.
The Hoyas led by as many as 23 points in the first half and 50-31 at halftime. Villanova cut the margin to 10 but never really threatened to steal the game back.
It’s only the Wildcats’ (20-2, 9-1) first loss of the Big East season, but one that has to humble ‘Nova.
Georgetown did anything it wanted today, going 10-19 from the arc, shooting over 52% from the field and knocking down FTs with ease.
The biggest mystery is how the hell the Hoyas are still a Top-10 team? Didn’t we all just witness¬†an annihilation of JT3 and co. at the Carrier Dome last week? GU has five losses, four of them in the Big East. They were thoroughly dismantled by the Orange on national television.
If Syracuse beat the #8 team in the country by nearly twenty points and the #2 squad just got thumped by that same team, doesn’t that have to make the Orange the country’s #1?
(With a win over Cincy, of course).
We’re just sayin’…
