As we mentioned last week, Slingbox has teamed up with the Fizz to help sponsor coverage of March Madness. If you’re out of the house this weekend, traveling, on the road, you don’t have to miss this very cool¬†Final Four (even if ‘Cuse is home until October). Here’s the link to Slingbox’s information and FAQs. No lie, last weekend I was sweating out not being able to watch the Elite 8 on Sunday. I was tied up in family stuff, and was not thrilled I would potentially miss the Louisville/Michigan State game (which undoubtedly some of you were probably inside the Dome for).
Luckily, I had the Slingbox hooked up. It runs through your cable box, and delivers whatever you have on your home TV directly to your computer. You could also download the Slingbox app for $14.99 to be able to watch anything on your phone or tablet. So I had my laptop with me, and as soon as I could connect to a wifi signal, I had the entire control of my cable box.
So, I got to satisfyingly watch Rick Pitino’s dreams get crushed in OT by the Spartans. The picture is clear, it runs smoothly as long as you have a decent internet connection. Here are some still shots from my laptop. Definitely impressed with the product.
