Syracuse‚Äôs latest 2017 commit is a beast. Florida running back Markenzy Pierre rushed for 387 yards and three touchdowns in his Liberty team‚Äôs 27-14 win over Harmony on Friday. Those 387 rushing yards put the running back over 2,000 yards on the season.
On Saturday Pierre committed to Syracuse. That‚Äôs not too bad of a weekend‚Ä¶
In New Jersey, Dino Babers watched Don Bosco win an overtime thriller 17-10 over Bergen Catholic on Saturday.

Babers saw Orange quarterback commit Tommy DeVito throw a touchdown screen pass in the first half and then drive Bosco down the field for the game winning score in overtime.
In Massachusetts, Ifeatu Melifonwu scored two touchdowns in Grafton‚Äôs 34-0 rout of Aubrun on Friday. The wide receiver commit plays running back for Grafton and scored on rushing plays of four and 50 yards. Grafton is undefeated at 8-0 following the win. The team is a favorite to reach Gillette Stadium to compete for a state championship later on this season.
Sharod Johnson led Booker T. Washington (FL) to its 15th straight district title Friday night. The receiver commit caught three passes for 83 yards and a score to propel his team to a 34-18 win over Edison.
Also in the Sunshine State, Orange tight end commit Aaron Hackett caught a 13-yard touchdown to help Venice knock off Palmetto 28-3 Friday. With the victory, Venice also won a district title.
Finally, Joshua Palmer led St. Thomas Aquinas in receiving yards as the Florida powerhouse destroyed Blanche Ely 49-0 Friday. The SU receiver commit finished the game with 43 receiving yards. Like Booker T. Washington and Venice, Aquinas also clinched a division title with the victory.
