SU Tourney Tracker: Syracuse is (Currently) in the NCAA Tournament

SU Athletics

The chips fell in the right places for SU today. The Orange smacked NC State 89-68, and just minutes ago, Butler defeated Xavier 70-69.

According to ESPN’s Joe Lunardi, Xavier was the only team standing between Syracuse and the Big Dance. Now, things have changed for the better.

So now it’s time to root against the Mountain West. Boise State plays Nevada at 5:30 tomorrow (root for the Wolfpack), Utah State squares off with UNLV at 9:30 (go Rebels), and if you feel like burning the midnight oil, Colorado State faces the winner of New Mexico-Fresno State at 11:30.

Syracuse’s tourney spot isn’t 100% percent secure, but Jim Boeheim and company can sleep a bit more securely tonight. Regardless, they better be ready for Virginia tomorrow.
