Robert Braswell Transfers to Charlotte

Syracuse has officially lost a third player to the transfer portal. Redshirt sophomore forward Robert Braswell is heading to Charlotte.

Braswell averaged 12 minutes, 3.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per game last season. The 2021-21 campaign had a nightmarish start for Bobby Braz, as he shot 3-17 from the field in his first five games. However, the 6-foot-7 forward took on a bigger role down the stretch of the regular season as Alan Griffin’s minutes dwindled. Braswell’s basketball IQ has improved greatly in his time at SU, which one Fizz staff member (maybe the one who wrote this article) questioned earlier on in the season.

Does the loss of Braswell hurt SU? Probably not. Cole Swider, Jimmy Boeheim and Benny Williams all can do what Braswell did last year, and hopefully do it more efficiently without the head-scratching moments, which sent Braswell to the Jim Boeheim doghouse.

We here at the Fizz wish Bobby Braz the best in Charlotte.
