Syair Torrence Earns Big Rankings Boost

Syracuse Football is off to a solid start with its 2024 recruiting class. Sure, most of the big programs have the foundation of their programs set already around this time of the offseason. However, SU is in no position to operate in such a way.

In any case, the Orange have two commits so far and one of them is perhaps a foundational piece. Local talent Syair Torrence is far and away the top commit in the class right now. Symir Torrence’s little brother is a standout receiver at nearby Christian Brothers Academy. The projected college wideout was previously an unranked recruit but was boosted big time last week.

The rising senior shot up from unheralded to a top-500 national recruit at #477. Torrence is also the 78th best pass catching prospect and a top-3 recruit in the state of New York.

Torrence committed to Syracuse back in November of 2022 and also holds an offer from Buffalo. The Orange’s other commit is Sam Cooper who pledged recently. Cooper is an unranked prospect from Pennsylvania.
