It’s been hard to keep track of Syracuse football’s recruiting recently. New head coach Fran Brown has been busy with both high school recruiting and the transfer portal. Here’s a list of every player who’s committed to the Orange since Coach Brown took over (as of the morning of Monday, December 17 – this list will continue to grow as signing dates get closer).
High School Recruits
Syracuse football’s recruiting started with high schoolers. Jaylan Hornsby was the first player to commit to Fran Brown, back on December 10. Since then, the list has continued to grow. So far, five recruits picked Syracuse after Brown came to town. Of note, four of them are skill position players, so the offense should have plenty of options next season. These players, along with those previously committed, make up the 44th-ranked class in the nation, per 247 Sports.

Transfers
Syracuse football has also been recruiting from the transfer portal. Former Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord is the biggest name, but adding two wide receivers from Georgia is noteworthy as well. Plus, James Heard of West Virginia is a worthy addition to the defense. There’s a total of four incoming transfers so far. This is the 19th-ranked transfer class on 247 Sports as of now.
