Is Kiyan Anthony About to Choose Syracuse?

With about a week to go before Kiyan Anthony makes his college decision it seems like there’s good winds blowing for Syracuse. The son of Orange legend Carmelo Anthony is a 4-star recruit and the 30th ranked recruit in the Class of ’25. On3 says his decision is coming on November 15th. Anthony’s choices are down to USC, Auburn and Syracuse.

Anthony has visited the campuses of Syracuse and USC, but he has not been to Auburn yet. Ultimately, it would be shocking if he did not choose the Orange. He’s set to make his announcement on Carmelo’s show, it would be hard to believe he would choose a different team with his dad watching on.

Anthony enters his senior season at powerhouse Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y. They’re one of the best teams in the EYBL Scholastic league. Anthony could join an Orange 2025 class that currently has three verbal commitments in five-star forward Sadiq White Jr., three-star wing Aaron Womack, and three-star combo guard Luke Fennell.

While many have considered it a foregone conclusion that Anthony picks his dad’s alma mater, the SU staff has not taken things lightly. They’ve followed him to multiple events and been in contact with the family every step of the way. Adian Autry understands the power of having Carmelo’s son playing in the same uniform and practicing in a facility named after dad.

Autry is coming off a positive first season for the Orange, but the potential commitments including from Kiyan would be a true indicator the program is built for long term success.
