Davis Knows Preparing For Up-Tempo SU Offense Won’t Be Easy

Syracuse 2016 offensive line commit Dakota Davis came on Fizz Radio earlier this month to discuss how he’s preparing for #OrangeIsTheNewFast, why he chose Syracuse and much more.

On training for Dino Babers’ offensive pace

“I have to get in incredible shape, I still have a lot to go through. Right now, I’m focused on my season, but after my season ends I’m going to focus and get my conditioning down.”

On his main recruiter

“I have a good relationship with Reno Ferri. We talk on a weekly basis. We talk about how my season is going, and how to make improvements in the weight room.”

On his recruitment

“They started looking at me earlier this year and then I became interested in them, so I pursued them and went to a camp over the summer in June. I’ve visited the campus a couple of times.”

On his camp performance

“They were impressed and they said that they’d let me know how things go in a couple of days. Then they extended the offer.”

On Syracuse

“It’s a really great academic university. It has what I want to study. I’d like to become a physician’s assistant. When I visited the campus, I just felt at home.”

On Babers

“Our relationship is getting started, it’s in the making. We talk here and there through direct message.”

On his future visit plans

“Right now I’m looking to attend the Syracuse Florida State game in November.”

On his commitment status

“I’m confident with Syracuse, I’m 100 percent going to Syracuse.”
