One of SU football’s highest recruits so far in the 2019 cycle is decommitting from the Orange. Cornelius Nunn, a 3-star safety, tweeted this out Monday morning.

Nunn then told recruiting analyst John Garcia Jr. that he plans to reconsider his options, according to Mike McAllister of Cusenation.
He said he might reconsider Syracuse down the road. The speedy safety received interest from SEC powers Alabama and Auburn, but never got a reported offer. His list of offers though is long, including Baylor, Boston College, Indiana, Nebraska and Pittsburgh.
The 2019 safety hails from Miami, FL and one school that hasn’t given him an offer yet is his hometown Miami Hurricanes. However, Nunn has been tweeting at coaches from the Miami program lately.

He’s also tweeted and frequently retweeted Syracuse football related tweets up until when he announced his decommitment Monday. Technically SU is still in the running in this one, but as we all know from past experiences, decommits usually don’t recommit.
With Nunn out of the picture for now, Syracuse has 11 commits for the 2019 class, including Dorian Hewett, who is now the lone safety in that class.
