It is still a bit early for Super Bowl bets. There is still plenty of time before we really get a taste of which teams are hot heading into the playoffs, or maybe place some prop bets.

However, it does not hurt to speculate, and start considering which teams you should be keeping an eye on.

So, here are the 5 current favorites to win the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl Odds 2023

The odds to win the Super Bowl in 2023 opened well before the 2022 season even ended, so, if you have been watching the odds, you will have seen a fair growth in some teams due to the coaching changes, as well as Tom Brady’s retirement, then his return.

Let’s not forget Aaron Rodgers’ return to Green Bay, and so on.

If you look at the odds, both the Bills and the Chiefs have had the best odds since January, and they still do. Just behind them are the Eagles and the Buccaneers. The Eagles have maintained odds of between +1000 to +1500 since January.

The Buccaneers odds went wild, though, starting at +1000 in January, but rising to over +2000 by February, over +2500 by March, but then with the return of Brady they flattened and returned to less than +1000.

This gives you an idea of just how influential a single player can be when it comes to odds… especially when that player is Brady.

Buffalo Bills +350

The Bills are the current favorite at the moment. Their odds sit at around +350 to +400 as we speak.

The Bills have been a favorite for a while, wrestling with the Chiefs for the favorite spot among many bookies. This +350 odds number has that at a 22.2% chance of winning the Super Bowl.

The Bills could’ve made it to the Super Bowl last year, but lost to the Chiefs in one of the craziest playoff games ever.

Which makes it even more understandable why the Chiefs and Bills have topped the odds board since the start of the year.

Kansas City Chiefs +650

The Chiefs are currently at +650 to win the Super Bowl. They did open on the odds board as the favorites, however, now the Bills have surpassed them in the odds.

How did this happen? There were big additions in free agency to the Chargers and the Broncos, who they will need to get through in the AFC West, and since they traded Tyreek Hill, their odds have faded slightly.

They have been overtaken by the Bills, and have both the Eagles and the Buccaneers on their backs.

Philadelphia Eagles +700

The Rams, Packers, and Buccaneers were all supposed to be favorites for the NFC until Philly took over in Week 4.

By October 2nd, Philly had the best Super Bowl odds in the NFC after they smashed the Jaguars, extending their still perfect start to 4-0.

They went from odds of +900 to +750. If they keep up this perfect start their odds are going to be increasingly good.

The Eagles are with the Bills in their impressive start to the regular season, which could be a game changer for how the rest of the season looks.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +1200

Tampa Bay and kind of yo-yoed this year. Brady left, then game back, which saw their odds look a bit like an exciting part of a rollercoaster.

On February 10th, Brady announced his retirement from the NFL, and the team’s odds dropped from +1000, to +2200. By March 12th, they had dipped again down to +2800.

Then Brady announced he was unretiring on March 13th, and now the odds have shot up. While in some places they are at +1200, some others are Brady hopefuls, placing their odds at +750.

Baltimore Ravens +1400

The Ravens have fluctuated somewhat in the last 10 years.

In ’18, ’19, and ’20 they topped double digit wins at 10-6, 14-2, and 11-5. Last year they were racked by injury and went 8-9. They have lost the last 4 division games they played in, and their last Super Bowl was in 2012.
