Orange Fizz

FB Recruiting

The Early Depth Chart (@ QB)

John Kinder seems psyched to be playing for the Orange, something Marrone seems to hold high on his priority list.

Every sports fan knows about the endless possibilities of ’10.

Not only are there hints of Lebron, D-Wade et al. bolting for free agency in the NBA, but SU could see one of the first (legitimate) position battles under center.

After news that¬†Mullen High school (Co.) quarterback Jonny Miller (pictured right) will join the Orange,it begs the question (for everyone who has enough time on their hands): who’s QB #1 in full recruiting class #1 for Doug Marrone?

The other option is John Kinder, the flashy star out of Cedarhurst, NY.

The stats on Miller, provided by himself, are nothing much to read into.

And Miller has been regularly injured since being named the school’s starter his sophomore season.

However, the senior seems psyched to be playing for the Orange, something Marrone seems to hold high on his priority list.

“I think the new staff is the best bunch of guys I have ever met. The players I met were top notch people and athletes. We are going to bring Syracuse back to prominence in a hurry!”

Whoa fella. If football doesn’t work, he may have a future in sports information and P.R.

Early advantage goes to Kinder.¬†The Fizz looks forward to a Patterson/Fields style battle in the future — the one that had early hype and got people abuzz — not the one that led to Pasqualoni’s firing and the debacle that became the next few years.

The Fizz is owned, edited and operated by Damon Amendolara. D.A. is an ’01 Syracuse graduate from the Newhouse School with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
