Three-Star Commit Keivonnis Davis Taking Visit to Oregon State

The loss of George McDonald might hurt Syracuse sooner than expected.

Three-star verbal commit Keivonnis Davis, a defensive end from the Miami area, is planning to take a visit to Oregon State next weekend. Davis has made a verbal commitment to the Orange after receiving other offers from major programs such as Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and West Virginia.
As The Fizz mentioned last week, the departures of Robert Welsh and Micah Robinson open the door for Davis to have more of a role early on in his collegiate career.
After a 3-9 season, the football program has to find ways to keep recruits interested in coming to Syracuse. It has the new practice facility, which is a plus for recruits planning to visit this weekend and next weekend, but the players also bring something to the table to benefit the Orange.
“I’m a game changer,” Davis said.
Davis is a passionate player. He said he wants to win and succeed. He is convinced Syracuse is a great program to help him grow as a person on and off the field. In speaking to Davis, his future visit to Oregon State is no immediate intention of switching his decision from Syracuse. He said part of the reason for him still taking the visit is to have the opportunity to meet people at Oregon State and to see what the program brings.
You can hear the full interview with Davis on Saturday morning on Orange Fizz Radio at 9 a.m. on The Score 1260 with Austin Pollack and Seth Goldberg.
