Jimmy Boeheim announced today via Instagram he’s committed to Syracuse:
With this, the Boeheim-trio is complete on the hill. Jim is coaching, Buddy is playing, and now Jimmy will join them inside the Carrier Dome. This is not a surprise. Along with a great family narrative, Jimmy’s addition adds solid shooting to the roster.
Boeheim’s eldest son is coming off a year in which he didn’t have the opportunity to play, as the Ivy League decided against a season. At 6’8″ 215 lbs, the grad-transfer will look to put up similar numbers to those in his last season at Cornell. In 2019-20, Boeheim scored nearly 17 points per game, grabbed over 5 rebounds per game while playing over 30 minutes each time out. There’s no doubt the forward will be a solid add for the Orange, especially in an offseason where they’ve lost so much.
Look for Syracuse to make some more moves to beef up this roster. This team is still in need of a big, and possibly a guard. Find out who else the Orange should target.
