While SU hoops keeps rolling through an undefeated start to the season, the biggest news of the week was from a former player. Paul Harris’ conversation with¬†The Fizz’s Andrew Kanell sparked a fire throughout the Orange blogosphere, as Harris admitted¬†regretted how things ended between him and Jim Boeheim:

“Boeheim at the end of the day is a genius. He knows how to motivate his players and get them more amped up. Once you hear your coach is telling you that you’re overrated, you’re going to pick up your play and be even better. Boeheim plays a lot of mind games and at the end of the day it’s all for the team.”

Kanell was shocked knowing the memorably frosty on-court relationship between Harris and The Per’fesser. From this week‚Äôs latest¬†Fizzcast:

“All of a sudden Harris is drinking the Kool-Aid that he was spitting back up in his coach’s face for years.”

Meanwhile Scoop Jardine‚Äôs Twitter account disappeared this week following¬†The Fizz’s story on¬†some of his unsavory tweets. In the locker room following the win over Iona, Scoop said it was his decision to take the account down. New¬†Team Fizz member Craig Hoffman:

‚ÄúScoop‚Äôs known for some questionable decision making whether it be on the court or on Twitter.”

Hoffman will also have an upcoming one-on-one with Friend of The Fizz Chandler Jones to make amends and talk some Pinstripe Bowl.

Plus, listen to the breakdown of Michigan and Groobers’ hunt for SU lineman commit Rob Trudo.¬†He‚Äôs already given his verbal to Syracuse, but the Wolverines still have an offer out to him to play on their defensive line. In other words, back off Groobers!

Also, we discuss what could have been with top hoops recruit Josh Selby, now with Kansas. It’s not like he made a game winning three in his first collegiate game. Gahhh!
